CIBEL book workshop with Hart Publishing

Join CIBEL for a 35-minute workshop followed by Q&A

Hosted by the UNSW China International Business & Economic Law (CIBEL) Centre, this workshop will walk you through the essential requirements for both authored and edited book proposals, and explain Hart’s peer review and approval processes, production workflow and the marketing support available for authors. The speaker will also offer practical guidance on revising a doctoral dissertation into a monograph. The session will also cover briefly Hart’s open access and AI usage policies, and introduce the commissioning areas of Hart’s editorial team. The workshop concludes with a Q&A session (25 mins) and registered attendees will receive a concise overview (PDF) of the presentation.

About the Presenter (Hart Publishing)

Joe Ng(伍志宏)is the Singapore-based Publisher for Law and Business (Asia) at Bloomsbury Publishing. He brings extensive regional expertise to his role, having worked in production editing, textbook development, and book commissioning for Pearson, Cengage Learning, and Cambridge University Press. Commissioning for Bloomsbury's Hart Publishing imprint, Joe seeks high-quality authored and edited projects addressing all areas of law within Asian jurisdictions, embracing international, comparative, doctrinal, and interdisciplinary approaches. His current commissioning interests include law and technology, climate litigation, sustainability and corporate governance, and legal history/society in Asia. Joe welcomes proposals for monographs, graduate textbooks, reference books and specialist practitioner guides.
