Associate Professor Weihuan Zhou elected as a Co-Secretary of SIEL

UNSW Law & Justice’s Herbert Smith Freehills China International Business and Economic Law (CIBEL) Centre member Associate Professor Weihuan Zhou has been elected as Co-Secretary of the Society of International Economic Law (SIEL) after two years’ service as an Executive Council member since 2018.

SIEL is a world’s leading organisation for academics and academically-minded practitioners and officials in international economic law (IEL), in all parts of the world. It hosts major events in the field such as the SIEL Biennial Conference and the SIEL Conversation Series and has wide networks for different research areas of IEL.

As a senior officer of SIEL, Dr Zhou will work closely with the President, the Vice Presidents and other officers and Executive Council members to play a leadership role in promoting and facilitating the coordination, collaboration, networking and debate between IEL scholars and practitioners and national and regional IEL organisations around the world.
